Creamy Apple Slaw

Crisp cabbage and juicy apples in a delicious creamy dressing. This refreshing apple slaw is perfect for summer barbecues, potlucks, and as a topping for pulled pork sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (for dressing)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups green cabbage (shredded)
  • 2 granny smith apples (cored and julienned or shredded)
  • 1 cup shredded carrot

Instructions

  1. Combine dressing ingredients (mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, whole grain dijon mustard, salt, celery seed, and black pepper) in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. Toss the slaw ingredients (shredded green cabbage, julienned or shredded apples, and shredded carrot) with the dressing.
  3. Allow to sit for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors blend.
