Sue’s Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 can canned red kidney beans (undrained (~30 oz total))
  • 15 oz canned stewed tomatoes (undrained)
  • 30 oz canned whole or diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • 1 none bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 5 none green onions (chopped)
  • 3 stalk celery (chopped)
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 lbs ground beef (cooked with a little salt/pepper)

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients except for the hamburger into a large pot. Simmer slowly for 2+ hours.
  2. Add in the cooked hamburger And simmer chili for another hour.
  3. Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream. Great with cornbread.
