Sue’s Chili

Ingredients

• 2 cans canned red kidney beans, undrained (~30 oz total)
• 15 ounces canned stewed tomatoes, undrained
• 1 ⅞ pounds canned whole or diced tomatoes, undrained
• 1 bell pepper, chopped
• 1 medium onion, chopped
• 5 green onions, chopped
• 3 stalks celery, chopped
• ¼ cup sugar
• 2 tablespoons chili powder
• 2 teaspoons ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon basil
• 1 teaspoon parsley
• 1 teaspoon pepper
• 1 pound ground beef, cooked with a little salt/pepper

Instructions

1. Put all ingredients except for the hamburger into a large pot. Simmer slowly for 2+ hours.

2. Add in the cooked hamburger And simmer chili for another hour.

3. Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream. Great with cornbread.
