BYU Brownies

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• ½ cup cocoa
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 4 large eggs
• 2 cups sugar
• 1-¾ cup flour
• 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

1. Melt butter and mix in cocoa. Allow to cool.

2. Add honey, eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

3. Add nuts. Pour batter into a greased 9-by-13 baking pan.

4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

5. Cool.

Ingredients

• 5 tablespoons butter, softened
• 1 dash salt
• 3 tablespoons milk
• 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
• 2-⅓ cup powdered sugar
• ½ teaspoon mint extract
• 2 drops of green food coloring

Instructions

1. Add salt, corn syrup, and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and fluffy.

2. Add mint extract and food coloring. Mix.

3. Add milk gradually until the consistency is a little thinner than cake frosting.

Ingredients

• 5 tablespoons butter, softened
• 1 dash salt
• 3 tablespoons milk
• 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
• 2 ⅓ cups powdered sugar
• ½ cup cocoa powder, sifted to remove clumps

Instructions

1. Add salt, corn syrup, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder. Beat until smooth and fluffy.

2. Add milk gradually until the consistency is a little thinner than cake frosting.

3. Spread mint icing over brownies.

4. Place brownies in the freezer for a short time to stiffen the icing.

5. Remove from the freezer and carefully add a layer of chocolate icing.
