Notes

These freeze very well. Traditionally served with butter, cheese, ham, or jam. Swedish bakers often use 'light syrup' (sirap), which is similar to mild corn syrup with a slightly caramel flavor. If you can't find Swedish rågsikt, substitute with 4 cups all-purpose flour and 2 to 2 1/2 cups light rye flour.
